2.2.0.1 Coumarin in Animal and Human Foods

JECFA stated: "Based on its results no restrictions the use of coumarin as a food supplement are recommended, and since cancer remains the leading cause of mortality in Europe, the risks and benefits of this compound as a food additive can be justified in this context. It has been concluded that there is no justification in the current health status of community prednisone deltasone 10 mg for restrictions on the use of coumarin as food supplement on the basis of data provided by the present study, but it should be kept in mind that coumarin is a component of some foods animal origin."
